my pom, has a terrible problem licking his paws none stop. I've changed his foods, taken him to be seen bye two different vets, had him on steroids under a vets care, then he has these little space out moment's where he's licking at the air and turning his head and sniffing the air. Then he got terribly sick vomiting, weak shaking legs, looked like he was near death. took him back to the same vet that prescribed the steroids and they said that they were going to treat him for pancreatitis. His blood test levels in his liver & intestines were in the 1700's.(this to me means nothing because im not a vet! other then how worried it made me!) Then the vet said we are going to treat him for pancreatitis and he will need to be on our science food diet and were changing him from steroids to apoquel. then they stated he shouldn't of been on the steroid for this amount of time (which was about 18 months) yet I was refilling from there office with there perscripition. the food was low fat and they put him on this food for low fat but he gained 5lbs in 4 months, was always starving. Then he starting butt scooting the vet said he needed his anal glands expressed. then it was every two weeks of taking him in at $35.00 ea. this never has happened to him before and did not stop him from scooting. Needles all this time money and worry hasn't helped him at all. I'm at my wits ends and need help, does anyone have any ideas.
Zeus is 4 years old
